The Minimum Wage Order 2024 was gazetted on 4 December 2024 and will be enforced in two stages. Starting 1 February 2025, a minimum monthly wage of RM1,700 will apply to employers with five or more employees and those categorized as MASCO Employers. By 1 August 2025, the same wage standard will extend to all employers in Malaysia, ensuring fair pay for workers across the nation. Employers are urged to review and adjust salaries accordingly to comply with the new wage regulations.
